Hotmail server for windows phone 7

Also, I added my wife's account to my Windows phone 8. Any Calendar changes I make on her calendar on my phone just reside on my phone. One other thing.

I have had no problem with my windows 8. I check my phone calendar and stuff is missing that is on my Surface and the same is happening with my Office Outlook calendar as well. And another thing that has just started happening is that the time between calendars for the same event now has an hour time difference. My surface and Office are showing the correct time for example appt is 9 am but my Windows phone is an hour early and showing 8 am.

It could be worse and be the other way round: Figured out the time discrepancy. The time zone on my Windows 8 phone changed in Settings for some strange reason. It's set to Automatic On for the date and time and I haven't changed this since getting the phone over a year ago. Phone gremlins!! My problem with Calendars still exists. Let me make the question real simple rather than bringing up my Windows phone and MS Outlook. If I pull up my hotmail calendar on my computer and make a calendar entry the entry never gets to Hotmail.

It just resides on the computer I made the entry on. The calendar is not communicating with the server. Emails and contacts sync fine just not the calendar. This all started last Friday or Saturday. Any suggestiions for fixing this.

Set up email on Windows Phone

This is Mikey. I finally got this fixed after talking with a tier 3 Microsoft engineer. As I had mentioned in my post everything had been working perfectly then all of the sudden calendars wouldn't sync on my wife's account while the contacts and email continued to sync properly. I kept thinking there had to be a server problem since my account was essentially the same as hers and on the same computers and it continued to work perfectly.

Configuration of your device

The engineer said the problem wasn't the server but the capacity of Hotmail to retain calendars. He said that the Hotmail calendar had a capacity of 1 or 2 gig; he couldn't remember which. This explained why every few days it would start working again and then stop working which was baffling to me. To delete the older appointments via the Hotmail calendar is a tedious one at a time process. I then right clicked on the mouse which brought up a box that had the option to delete and then selected that option.

It took a few minutes to do but once that was done everything worked just great. This was the solution to my problem. I hope this is of some help to you. By the way I posted this on the forum months ago but I can't find it now. Skip to main content. Site Feedback. Tell us about your experience with our site.
